A Bunch of Skirts

That's all I can call liberals in this country anymore. A bunch of skirts. I am so angry it is making my blood pressure go through the roof.

Is there nothing in this world that ever makes a liberal want to defend his country and stand up for our citizens and our leaders?

Is there anything a liberal would fight for (besides abortion, needle programs, the right of criminals and America's enemies, etc)?

Is there nothing exceptional about being American to a liberal?

Has the United States been nothing but a force for evil in this world?

Do they really believe George W. Bush is worse than Hitler or Saddam?

Do they really believe that rights granted to U.S. citizens under the Constitution apply to terrorists, murderers, and crackpot dictators around the world even though nothing in their way of life indicates an adherence to said Constitution? That those rights apply to the very same people who wish to destroy the way of life that we the people enjoy (at least conservatives enjoy it) and that which the Constitution governs?

Hugo Chavez, the tinhorn dictator of Venezuela, comes into our house and insults our President and calls him the devil and there is absolutely no outrage from the left save a comment from Congressman Charles Rangel, in whose district Chavez was speaking. I am sure that Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, and Democratic National Committe leader Howard Dean were privately cheering Chavez for taking our President down a peg and embarrassing him around the world. After all they do it all the time.

You know we may have our disagreements in this country, and I know Republicans can make an awful mess of things and be deserving of criticism. And Lord knows the Democrats will say the most hateful, disrespectful things about our President and have it beamed via satellite and Internet all over the world without a care for how it influences the opinions of America in other countries - but no one from the outside should be able to come into our house and feel free to do the same. Period.

Of course we shouldn't be surprised that it has come to this. The Democrats have shown not a single iota of respect for the President - because he comes from the opposition party and they believe embarrassing him will help them regain the White House. Democrat or Republican, the President of the United States is the leader of the free world and of the best and most powerful nation on the planet and the position alone should demand respect. Though liberals refuse to acknowledge it, America is a nation that has promoted liberty and freedom throughout its history and it has spilled a lot of its own blood and spent a great deal of its treasure in its attempts to bring freedom to others (as we are trying to do in Iraq). But since today's liberals are ignorant of this nation's history they do not know of the good we as a beacon of freedom have brought to the world. They cannot see the whole picture and have no understanding of what America has been about. They have learned about all of the mistakes our country has made in its history because those children of the '60's, who are now the supposed adults, make up a majority of those who teach in our schools and universities. They are still America-haters, distrusting of government and revolting against any and all authority. They have been only too happy to point out the blemishes in American History, label us as evil, and distort America's value to the world. How else can you explain almost a third of this country actually believing that the government was involved in bringing down the World Trade Center in order to justify it's war for oil, the past elections have been stolen, that the levees in New Orleans were blown up by the government to drown the poor black people?

Politics used to stop at the water's edge but no longer. Liberals hate America because they have no understanding of it in its entirety. I wonder why they don't just leave and go to France or the European Union since they like the way they live over there so much. There is no longer a united American attitude where we are all in this together and we had each others back against any outsiders - no matter our disagreements. I look at it this way: when I was a kid my father could be a real jerk and I certainly had my share of disagreements with him and his actions. However nobody but nobody had better come into my house and badmouth my father. The fight would have been on. Period.

The underlying problem is that liberals have no guts and they refuse to differentiate between good and evil, right and wrong, Americans and other people. They see a moral equivalence between George Bush, Saddam Hussein, and al-Qaeda. They refuse to judge anyone unfavorably except for Bush and conservative religious people. Everyone else: murderers, rapists, dictators, communists, Muslims, drug addicts, gangbangers, etc. get a pass from them. You know with them it's all about the root causes that make people act so badly. It's always someone else's fault. The root causes of all of the world's problems no doubt, have been brought on by the policies of the United States of America and its President. Apparently all of these problems have been brought on during the last six years when Bush has been president too. Liberals act as if George W. Bush is all-powerful and controls the world from his desk. The great contradiction in all of this liberal blather of course is that while George Bush is and will always be a complete idiot, undeserving of his position, he's smart enough to cause death and starvation in other countries, control the weather, and foresee the future all while pulling the wool over the eyes of everyone in the world.

A few examples of liberal attitudes coming out of this Hugo Chavez / Mahmoud Ahmadinejad furor have really enraged me:

Yesterday I am watching Hannity & Colmes and that liberal pansy Alan Colmes, who never met an enemy of the United States he couldn't defend and/or blame Bush for, while discussing the boycott of Citgo being bandied about by true Americans who are angry at Chavez's comments about our President, says that perhaps liberals should organize a "buycott" of Citgo. Apparently to him Citgo, owned by the Venezuelan government, should actually be rewarded for their president's comments attacking Bush with more petrodollars from those who hate Bush.

These liberals hate Bush so much that they will allow anyone to say or do anything to him (and us) despite the damage it does to the country as a whole. In fact because that slime Chavez disparaged Bush liberals think that he should actually be rewarded. They're all cheering him for doing so. They disgust me. Can anyone understand what goes on in the liberal mind? There is no United in their way of thinking. It's as if they think that if bad things happen to Bush it only happens to him alone and the rest of the country is untouched and does not suffer at all. It's like they think that when the Islamofacists come to America to wreak their havoc they'll only kill conservatives. Liberals are apparently too dense to understand it is all of their social policies and attitudes that have convinced the Islamofacists that we are irreligious and blasphemous and that we need to be converted or killed. They see the West as decadent and with the devil. Don't lefties see that if a terrorist was told he could only kill some of us and he had to choose which ones to kill that he would  choose to kill the gay, lesbian, transgendered, pornographic film distributing, drug using, antireligious, abortion loving liberals first? Maybe if liberals hadn't destroyed the public school system they would be better at critical thinking and they might know a thing or two about history rather than, as Ann Coulter says, waking up to a new day everyday as if what had happened yesterday had never happened. That's why they always want to try the same policies over and over - no matter how many times they have failed.

Later last night I am listening to the Mike Gallagher show and they are discussing the Chavez thing. This liberal girlie-man calls in and says that Bush deserves these insults because after all Bush uses childish terms like "axis of evil", "evildoers", and "good vs. evil". Liberals are always so smart, so superior, and so above the fray aren't they? This liberal said that there Bush is too childish to understand that there are no evil people in the world only misguided ones. Talk about childish! Liberals live in their own little fantasy world and they cannot even admit that there is evil in the world. It's all about root causes don't you know? When pressed by the host this guy could not even agree that Hitler was evil. Adolph Hitler - the man responsible for the agonizing deaths of six million Jews and millions of others. I suppose they'll be blaming Hitler on Bush soon. If you can't even gin up the nerve to call Hitler evil you are out of your mind.

And last, the thing that really set me off and caused me to start banging out this column on my keyboard was this: Yesterday I forwarded via email a call for a Citgo boycott around to those on my email list that might be interested. I think that people should understand that Citgo is owned by the Venezuelans and that Americans should think twice before pouring our petrodollars into their coffers when we have so many other options. A valid consideration for someone who actually loves their country and defends its right to have internal squabbles yet feels that foreigners should be excluded from commenting on our business - especially when they speak of our leaders in a disrespectful manner. And before my liberal friends start getting all emotional and stamping their feet and sobbing uncontrollably - they should understand that I am no Bush robot. I have disagreed with many of his policies and actions. However I hated Bill Clinton for what he did to embarrass this country while in office, but I would never have stood for a Chavez making those comments about him either.

But my liberal brother, upon receipt of said email, cuts and pastes the First Amendment out of the Constitution and sends it to me telling me that even idiots have rights! Why do liberals insist on applying rights granted to Americans in the U.S. Constitution to foreigners who have no intention of ever living by those rights nor applying them to the people they govern and oppress? I mean this really drives me crazy! Why should "enemy combatants" - those who try to kill Americans by any means and would love to overthrow our government, have the same rights as common criminals? Don't you have to live by the Constitution to have it apply to you? Is there no price to pay for being treated in that manner? Can you murder innocents people with roadside bombs and plot to kill more but still be treated as if you were civilized? Do liberals really see an equivalence between average Americans and terrorists? Do they really believe that terrorists are the moral equivalents to the Minutemen of our American Revolution? What planet are these people from anyway?

A little lesson for liberals when indignantly applying the First Amendment: just because you have the right to say what you want doesn't exclude you from having to hear an unfavorable response. People in opposition to your asinine statements have the right to say what they want back to you or react to your idiocy in any fashion they wish -provided it's legal and does not include violence. Liberals always site the First Amendment when they spew anti-American bile but whine like crazy when the same right is exercised in a rebuttal.

And in one of their biggest hypocrisies: liberals always like to cite foreign law when it suits their purpose to override U.S. law and demonstrate the error of our ways, how is it that now they want to cite U.S. Constitutional law to cover monsters and murderers? Answer: because it suits their agenda and promotes their anti-American attitudes!

I am tired of having this same argument over and over with liberals. No, America has not always been right in everything it does however we have always tried to promote freedom and liberty around the world. All of our decisions are based on that. This has been true under both Democrat and Republican administrations. We are all Americans and we must stay united. A house divided cannot stand. I believe that is the true goal of the Left in this country now. They constantly talk about the neocons plan for a one world order but it is the Left that wishes to blur the lines between individual national sovereignty, remove borders, and eliminate patriotism. They cannot see any difference between the greatest nation on the planet and an Iran or Venezuela. I feel sorry for them. All they want to do is tear down everything we have done throughout our history. It is as if they have deathwish. We must never let them win.

Win Or Lose Folks?

How in the world are we ever going to win this War on Terror, this supposed clash of civilizations?

First, we have a number of weak, whiny Senators running around trying to extend Geneva Conventions protections (and more) to the terrorist savages captured on the battlefield who have no interest in following those same Conventions and violate them on a regular basis when dealing with Coalition or civilian prisoners themselves.

Led by Senator John McCain (followed by the obligatory: himself a POW in the Vietnam War), Senator Lindsey Graham (a former military judge who should know better), and Senator John Warner of Virginia (who knows what his deal is?), there is a movement in the Senate to make sure the terrorist “detainees” are treated nicely, much better then our military men and women would be treated were they to be captured by the enemy.

All of this vacillating about “torture” is driving me crazy. Forget for a moment that I would be all for torturing these detainees (you know bamboo under their nails, water-boarding, electric shock, etc); I understand that America is above all of that and we have to project a certain image of fairness and restraint. However the things the President wants to be able to do to prisoners to coerce them to provide information about upcoming plots: temperature variations (continually hot or cold rooms), prolonged standing, loud music, sleep deprivation, and stomach slapping do not sound like to torture to me and I think you can certainly throw water-boarding in there as well. Certainly not torture when compared with beheadings. The idea is to get information from these would-be American killers and save American lives – have our Senators lost their minds? Have the American people who are against this lost their minds?

And while I can’t speak to Senator Warner’s motivation in all of this, it is apparent that once again Mr. Graham has taken another opportunity to grandstand to get some face time and Mr. McCain is suffering from the effects of his long stay at the Hanoi Hilton. I mean Senator McCain no disrespect, in fact he has always had my respect despite his sometimes loony positions and his innate ability to embarrass his own party, but does anyone else see the slightest hint of a flashback to his Vietnam POW days as being the motivation for him in this matter? I am certain that he never wants anyone to experience what he did while held in captivity, but a little perspective is in order here.

To have McCain go around telling people that by us following President Bush’s desires in this matter we will incite the enemy to behave badly and that they will fail to follow the Geneva Conventions is simply ludicrous. First of all the Conventions are unclear as to the definitions of torture, second - they only apply to those nations who are signatories of the treaty, and third - the enemy has never before nor do they ever plan to follow those conventions. Any man on the street can tell you that – get a clue Senators. I believe beheadings and dragging burning corpses around in the streets pretty much eliminates the possibility of them following the Conventions Senator McCain.

The proverbial “Arab street” must be doubled over with laughter these days listening to this baloney. It’s outrageous to think that we would keep our intelligence people from getting the information we need to save Americans that we would not electronically eavesdrop on phone calls into the United States from suspected terrorists, that we would not track financial transactions of suspected terrorists, and that we would not profile in our airports and train or bus stations. Enough is enough of this politically correct nonsense. We cannot be this stupid – can we?

Then we have the Supreme Court dictating to the President, whose power as Commander-in-Chief and his responsibility to defend the country are clearly enumerated in the U.S. Constitution, as to how he can handle the trials of “enemy combatants”. This after Congress specifically excluded such cases from being heard by the Court in previous legislation, legislation that clearly falls under their enumerated powers in the Constitution as well. This judicial overreach and how the Executive and the Legislative branches are both in a tizzy about it would be amusing if it wasn’t so sad.

In 1831 when the Supreme Court decided the Cherokee Nation v. Georgia in opposition to the position of President Andrew Jackson, based on his differing opinion as to whether the Court even had jurisdiction in the matter, President Jackson said, and I paraphrase: “he (the Chief Justice) has made his decision, now let us see him enforce it.” He then ignored the order.

Now that is not the way I would like the current President or any President to act very often, since this is not a monarchy, however I would like to see President Bush take a similar position in this matter. The Court has imposed itself into an area that is not it’s to decide - and they have been doing so consistently for 40 years. It is time that a stand is taken. It is not within the Court’s enumerated powers to make law nor to set foreign policy. Where the Constitution is silent on an issue the Court must refer the issue back to either the Executive or the Legislative branch depending on their respective enumerated responsibilities to clear the matter up through legislation or executive order. The Constitution is clearly silent on the treatment of “enemy combatants” but clearly enumerates the power of the Commander-in-Chief and the defense of the nation to the President. Yet the Court continues to assume powers that are not enumerated to them and everyone just accepts their decisions as the final word on every issue. To do so demonstrates a lack of a clear understanding of the U.S. Constitution (not surprising since our schools don’t teach it).

What has happened to my country? This is now the country where we are so afraid to offend someone’s sensibilities that we would rather allow terrorists to kill a large number of us rather than be considered insensitive. We have reporters who admit if they were watching terrorists setting a trap for American soldiers that they would not warn our troops in advance saying it is their job to report the news not be a part of it. Why do so many Americans hate their own country and take for granted everything they have? Why do so many Americans think it is a bad thing to root for your country to win and for your fellow countrymen to live?

The final questions are: how long will we sit idly by, screwing around with stuff like this, wringing our hands and wanting the world to love us as the Islamofacists plot our death and destruction while we act like perfect gentlemen? When will we finally come to the conclusion that we are in a fight for our very lives and that of all free people on this Earth before one of our major cities are wiped out by a nuclear blast?

I am afraid to say I think we will be sitting around still debating whether we are really at war and whether we should even use the full power of our military for a long, long  time.  I also feel that by the time we come to the conclusion that we are in a war and that we were wrong about how to deal with Islamic terror it may be too late. Our leaders on both sides of the aisle no longer have the guts to stand up and fight for the United States of America and what she stands for. I beleive that “We the People” are now just the sheeple like they were in New Orleans - standing around waiting for the government to save their bacon. We the People are so far removed from war that we can’t even gin up the courage to state in a definitive and united fashion that we are at war anymore. We are still arguing that, always looking back and not looking forward. How sad.

There are only two possible outcomes in war: either you win – or you lose. I am no longer sure which side of this war our country will end up on. It's not a good thing when only one side is fighting 100% while the other is not even really in the game. I hate when our media or our leaders use the word “frightened”. It is so womanly to me and I like American men to act like men. However I will say that while I am not frightened about all of this I am indeed worried. It is time for men to be men and for us to fight for what we stand for and not be afraid to do so. The alternative is to die without a whimper or in this case with lots of whimpering. Let’s not do that – it’s embarrassing.

It’s like I tell my kids when they moan and groan about my edicts: “I waited a long time to be in charge and by God; I’m going to be in charge!” Well I want our leaders to say that "the United States has worked long and hard to be the most powerful nation on Earth and by God, we’re going to be the most powerful nation on Earth – and we're gonna kick your butt". What’s the point of being so powerful if you’re not going to use it to protect yourself?

See Ya!

We are nuts!

That’s all I can say. Not only do we spend our time fighting over whether there should be any rights for terrorist prisoners – we fight over how many of the same rights American servicemen and citizens have that we should apply to terrorists as well. As if we are holding them for parking tickets or something. And this movement is led by a Senator who himself had been subjected to the type of torture prohibited by the Geneva Conventions. Totally ignoring the obvious fact that the enemies of America never follow those prohibitions, John McCain fights to be sure that enemy combatants ever have to suffer. Does anyone else see the irony in this? Perhaps a little projection of some issues relating to the Senator's experiences?

Also on top of that not only do we allow this Khatami guy, the former President of Iran into the country to spew his particular brand of Islamic hatred in lectures around the country, we also intend to allow the current President of Iran, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad – who by the way advocates the destruction of the U.S. and Israel while denying the Holocaust ever took place, all while trying to develop the nuke to carry his dreams out with, into the country too. Now I learn that we, the U.S.,  are now going to allow 15,000 Saudi students into this country to attend our universities. Hard to believe? Go here to see:

http://article.nationalreview.com/?q=NzI3MTAzMmI0ZTUyODI2NTcyYzNmN2M0NjU4NTg4MDg=

It is all getting to be too much for me. How in the world can we allow 15,000 Saudi students into this country freely when it was 19 Saudis who took down the WTC and it is Saudis who have been involved in terrorist acts since Day 1? Osama bin Laden is the world’s tallest Saudi – doesn’t that give us a clue at all? It wasn’t that long ago that we wanted to turn control of some of our major ports to the United Arab Emirates. We refuse to secure our borders and expel illegals. To top it off we will not profile at airports even though those who wish to kill us all fit the same profile. We even hate killing terrorists without doing so "proportionately". What is wrong with us?

If I wasn’t sure before I am sure now that the leaders of our country and a significant portion of its population have a death wish. There is no where to run if we can’t be safe here. I fear my children and their children are doomed. We are so naïve and so stupid that we cannot see the wall in front of us that we speed towards. There is going to be a big splat soon and the next sound you hear will be that of America whimpering while it is being destroyed by Islamofacists.

Will we ever shake the specter of political correctness before we are all dead? Where are the men? Are there only 2 million warriors left in America and they are all already in the military? Why not make it easier for the citizens and simply give every American a gun so they can shoot themselves now rather than wait to fry in a nuclear storm or be made slaves of the caliphate? It’s over folks, we’re going down and we have no one to blame but ourselves and our wimpy, lazy society.

Our National Suicide

OK if anyone thinks I'm nuts and my previous comments about our sweet and kind treatment of terrorist, oh I mean "enemy conbatants" or "detainees" are especially harsh and that I am sadly mistaken about it, just read this article to learn how our military coddles those who try to kill them and us. This politically correct way of doing things is gonna get us all killed someday. And this is with Republicans in charge. God help us if the Democrats ever get in power. Go here to get ill: http://www.nypost.com/postopinion/opedcolumnists/a_deadly_kindness_opedcolumnists_richard_miniter.htm

A Few Thoughts

I just have to say this because it's eating at me and I don't know why 100% of my fellow Americans can't see this:

1. Why in the world does anyone care whether we are torturing terrorists or not? These animals make movies of beheadings and they indiscriminately kill and maim innocent civilians. I am in complete agreement with adherence to the Geneva Conventions when dealing with another nation's army that respects those policies as well, but when it comes to these guys I say torture the stuffing out of them if it will reveal more of their deadly plots. If they knew they could expect to be treated that way they might (I said might) reconsider what they are doing. This is war people.

2. How is it being forced to sit in a cold or hot room listening to the Red Hot Chili Peppers blaring away is considered torture when I have to do that frequently sitting at a red light downtown in the middle of July? It appears to me that anything we do to coerce these scumbags to talk is going to be considered torture by the weak pantywaist left. We have more libs and politicians concerned about terrorist rights then we do about the right of our children, and our children's children, to live on in peace. This is war people.

3. Why don't we start throwing around some more of our military might? Why don't we just tell the mullahs in Iran that they day they explode a nuke or even point a missile at us or one of our allies they are toast? Why are we so proper? Why are we such scaredy-cats? There should be a benefit to being the most powerful and richest nation in the world. That benefit should be that if anyone screws with us we wipe them out. Is that too much for my namby-pamby liberal friends? If terrorists knew this would happen to them instead of believing we're paper tigers we wouldn't have so many problems right now. This is war people.

4. If I hear one more liberal clown say that 9/11 is the fault of both administrations I think I'll just throw up. One President - Bill "the Knob" Clinton spent eight years failing to retaliate to the attacks on our people and assets, leading the Islamowhackjobs to believe we were weak, and Bush spent his first eight months getting acclimated in his position and trying to set up his administration. C'mon give me a break. If Clinton thought he'd done such a great job why then is breaking ABC's you know whats over their miniseries? It's because as always he is truth challenged folks. And to count on the findings of the 9/11 commission, that political circus that actually had the person who set up the wall between the CIA and FBI as a member - failing to recuse herself and actually partaking in this exercise with a straight face as if anyone could take her seriously, and expect it, in this day and age, to come up with a straight, bipartisan accounting of what happened is naive. I can see for myself, an I hope many of my fellow citizens can as well, that Clinton simply did not have the stomach for using military force. And bin Laden knew it. That is why they grew increasingly bold until they brought down the towers. Face it libs: one president was busy getting some butt and the other is busy trying to kick it.

This is war people and if we don't start to get down and dirty and get rid of all of these gentlemanly rules we'll be finished. It reminds me of the American Revolution but we're the British. You know they walked along in formation, wearing their bright red uniforms, while the Americans hid in the bushes and picked them off. Apparently it was better for the British to be gentlemen and be fair than it was for them to win. I see history repeating itself and I don't like it. We had better wake up. This is war people. The only rules there should be is: we win - you lose!
